Frenectomy (Lip/tongue tie)
A lip-tie is a condition in which the tissue behind the lip is too stiff and cannot move freely. This is a condition that one is born with and it can result in serious discomfort and health problems if not treated. Similarly, a tongue tie is a birth defect that restricts the tongue’s range of movement, can have serious negative impacts to one’s oral health, can result in speech impediments, and can cause general discomfort. Often these conditions are detected after birth but many can be unaware that they’re inflicted.
A frenectomy is a brief and painless procedure where a dental laser is used to modify the connective tissue inside of the lip or under the tongue — completely easing all discomfort and saving the mouth from any related health problems.
If you have a lip-tie or tongue-tie, a frenectomy treatment will be beneficial to you.
